Downtown Los Angeles Crash on Sixth Street Kills Pedestrian and Driver

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (April 28, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Sixth Street near Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles area early Thursday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:25 a.m. on April 27. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 25-year-old male pedestrian was walking westbound on the sidewalk of Sixth Street when a vehicle traveling westbound struck him.
 
The vehicle then continued in a westbound direction and collided with a building.
 
As a result, both the pedestrian and the driver suffered significant injuries.
 
Responding paramedics rushed them to a hospital, where both later died. Their identities were withheld pending notification of their relatives.
