33-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on Pacific Highway near Mission Bay
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 15, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Highway in San Diego Tuesday night on February 14.
The fatal accident happened around 6:45 p.m., just south of Mission Bay. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 33-year-old male pedestrian was walking in the northbound lane of 4800 Pacific Highway.
Police said a 41-year-old man was driving a 2016 Lincoln MKZ in the northbound lane of Pacific Highway and did not see the pedestrian, who was then hit by the vehicle.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
