Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

 
MALIBU, CA (March 12, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu early Thursday morning, March 11.
 
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened around 2:25 a.m. near Puerco Canyon Road.
 
The male pedestrian was walking in the area when an unknown vehicle struck him. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The involved driver waited for the police, and reports do not indicate any arrests, according to sheriff’s deputies.
 
Both north and southbound lanes were closed on PCH between Malibu Canyon Road and Corral Canyon Road until about 9:40 a.m. Thursday.
 
Investigators are still trying to determine if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
