Pedestrian Walking Outside Crosswalk Dies after Struck by Car on McKee Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (June 14, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at McKee Road and Jackson Avenue in San Jose on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:04 a.m. on June 12. According to the San Jose Police Department, the male pedestrian was crossing McKee Road near Regional Medical Center outside any crosswalk markings when a red Lexus sedan struck him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner will release his identity once family members are notified.
 
The male driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Crews shut down all westbound traffic on McKee Road while the investigation was conducted.
