HAYFORK, CA (July 11, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 3 on July 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Wildwood Road.
 
Based on reports, the man was walking southbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle came and struck him.
 
As a result, the man sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Officials did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers at the scene.
 
At this point, this pedestrian accident on Highway 3 is under investigation by the CHP. In addition, no other details are available.
