Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Two Cars near Esplanade Avenue in San Jacinto

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 9, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident near Esplanade Avenue and San Jacinto Avenue on Wednesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on April 5. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the male pedestrian attempted to run across the street when he was hit by two cars on the four-lane corridor.
 
Both drivers immediately stopped and called 911.
 
Patrol deputies and paramedics reached the location within a few minutes. They rushed the pedestrian to a regional trauma center, where the victim died Wednesday night.
 
The two motorists were questioned by deputies but not arrested.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
