JEFFERSON PARK, CA (November 20, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Adams Boulevard near Arlington Avenue Saturday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the deadly pedestrian accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a man in his 80s was running across the street in an unmarked crosswalk when a car traveling eastbound struck him.
 
Soon after, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived but the victim passed away at the scene.
 
At the time of the report, officials did not release the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
 
It’s unclear what led to the accident, but an investigation should identify the cause.
