Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck on 15 Freeway in Kensington

 
KENSINGTON, CA (April 30, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 15 Freeway in the Kensington area Thursday evening on April 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:00 p.m. along the northbound freeway, just south of Adams Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was within the freeway’s traffic lanes when a 57-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado struck him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The crash prompted multiple lanes to be closed for about two hours.
 
It is unknown at this time if the pedestrian or the driver of the Chevrolet were under the influence. An investigation is underway.
