Police Arrest Suspected Drunk Driver Oscar Munoz-Luna after Deadly Crash in Pasadena

 
PASADENA, CA (February 22, 2022) – A man died and police arrested Oscar Munoz-Luna after a DUI crash on Washington Place in Pasadena on Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on February 18 just west of Sunset Avenue. According to the Pasadena Police Department, the 26-year-old suspect from Pasadena was driving a green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with his two passengers. He was heading eastbound on Washington Place when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle.
 
The impact of the crash severely injured one of the pickup truck’s passenger. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he later died. He was only described as a 55-year-old Pasadena man.
 
Meanwhile, Munoz-Luna and his rear-seat passenger, a 40-year-old Altadena resident, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police later arrested Munoz-Luna on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI. They booked him at the Pasadena City Jail and was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
