Multi-Vehicle Crash on Olympic Boulevard in Koreatown Leaves One Dead
KOREATOWN, CA (February 1, 2023) – A man died in a multi-vehicle accident at Olympic Boulevard and Hoover Street early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened around 1:46 a.m. on January 31. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Hoover Street when it crashed into a car traveling on Olympic Boulevard. The impact caused the second vehicle to crash into a third car.
The driver of the second vehicle, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity at this time.
Paramedics took the driver and a passenger in the first vehicle to a hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the third vehicle was treated at the scene.
An initial report indicated that police arrested one of the drivers.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
