STOCKTON, CA (December 21, 2023) — A man died in a multi-car accident on Highway 99 near Arch Road Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly multi-car crash happened around 6:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, a 2023 Hino truck crashed and stopped at the center divider. Subsequently, a 37-year-old Denair man driving a 2009 Ford northbound drifted toward the center divider at an unknown speed, hitting the Hino. From there, the Ford spun out and struck an oncoming 2005 Dodge RAM, which caused the Ford driver to be ejected.

Upon arriving, CHP officers confirmed the Ford driver deceased at the scene. His name was unavailable.

It was unclear if any of the other drivers, including the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet that struck nearby debris, reported injuries.
