Man Dead after Motorcycle Accident on Calvine Road and Sheldon North Drive

ELK GROVE, CA (February 8, 2021) — A man died following a motorcycle accident on Calvine Road in Elk Grove on Friday, January 22.
The motorcycle crash occurred at about 2:15 p.m. on Calvine Road and Sheldon North Drive.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, a Toyota Camry driver and the 68-year-old motorcyclist both moved eastbound on Calvine Road. Then the Camry made a right-hand turn in front of the motorcycle.
The impact ejected the motorcycle rider to the road. First responders transported him to the hospital where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
There were no reports if the Camry driver had any injuries.
Authorities are still determining if speed or intoxication contributed to the collision.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the incident may contact the Elk Grove police.
