Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Alton Parkway in Irvine

 
IRVINE, CA (August 7, 2023) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Alton Parkway near Jamboree Road Thursday.
 
According to Irvine Police, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 10:20 a.m. For an unknown reason, a 21-year-old man operating a Yamaha motorcycle struck a curb. As a result, the motorcyclist also struck a light, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and slide down the street. At some point during the accident, the motorcyclist struck an idling Toyota Prius at a stoplight.
 
No one else reported injuries, but the motorcyclist perished in the crash.
 
This fatal event comes after a 5:30 p.m. Wednesday motorcycle accident when another crashed at McGaw and Armstrong Avenues.
