Motorcycle Crash on 10 Freeway in Thousand Palms Kills 1 and Injures 3 Others

 
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (March 31, 2023) – A 51-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on 10 Freeway in Thousand Palms Thursday morning on March 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:30 a.m. near Monterey Avenue. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, a group of motorcycles were heading eastbound on the freeway. For unknown reasons, a 2021 Harley-Davidson driven by the 51-year-old man and also occupied by a 49-year-old woman, veered left and crashed into the center median metal guardrail.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to the Eisenhower Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The woman suffered major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a 2012 Harley-Davidson, also occupied by two, was following behind. When the first motorycle crashed, this motorcycle lost control and overturned onto the roadway.
 
The 56-year-old male rider suffered major injuries and his passenger, a 46-year-old woman, sustained minor injures.
