Man Killed, Kalee Morgan Involved in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 178 [Weldon, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Truck on Highway 178 in Weldon

 
WELDON, CA (May 16, 2023) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 178 in Weldon Sunday evening on May 14.
 
The accident happened around 8:50 p.m. just west of Powers Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Kalee Morgan of Welgon was driving 2011 Dodge truck when she slowed to make a left-hand turn into a driveway.
 
The man was riding his 2001 Yamaha motorcycle westbound, began passing Morgan and two other vehicles at a high rate of speed, when he collided with the left front side of the truck.
 
As a result of the crash, the man was ejected from his motorcycle and died at the scene.
 
It is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
