Rollover Crash on Mother’s Day in Apple Valley Kills 40-Year-Old Man
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 16, 2023) – Isaace Figueroa was killed in a rollover accident in Apple Valley Sunday night on May 14.
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 p.m. on Highway 18, just before the Bear Valley Road cutoff. According to the CHP, a Toyota Camry was traveling on the highway when it crashed into the rear of a silver Dodge Charger. It then lost control and overturned.
After the crash, witnesses ran over to render aid to Figueroa who was still inside the car.
Figueroa suffered a major head injury and died at the scene. He was 40 years old from Apple Valley, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District arrived on scene and located a Toyota Camry on the shoulder in a dirt field.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station is handling the vehicle accident investigation.
