Man Dies in San Diego Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at University Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 20, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at University Avenue and Mississippi Street on September 7.
 
According to authorities, a light-colored sedan with large chrome wheels struck a 58-year-old man walking eastbound at the intersection.
 
Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the victim with major injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported him to a hospital where he died. At this point, officers need the public’s help to identify the driver of this vehicle.
 
Therefore, anyone with more information on this car, which might have sustained minor to moderate damage to its hood, windshield and bumper, should call the San Diego Police.
