Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Rainbow Canyon Road in Temecula

 
TEMECULA, CA (November 11, 2023) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Rainbow Canyon Road in Temecula late Thursday morning on November 9.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:53 a.m. just north of Rainbow Valley Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man lying dead on the right shoulder of the Rainbow Canyon Road.
 
The victim was around 65 to 75 years old. His identity was not immediately available.
 
Authorities said the suspect vehicle was possibly a raised pickup truck, SUV, or van.
 
At this time, the CHP is still searching for the hit-and-run suspect. They urged witnesses or anyone who may have information about the crash to contact the CHP Temecula Area at 951-466-4300.
