Pedestrian Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 94 in La Mesa

 
LA MESA, CA (October 22, 2023) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 94 in La Mesa early Friday morning on October 20.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:30 a.m. near the off-ramp of Spring Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man’s dead body in the right lane of eastbound Highway 94.
 
The name, age and city of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
CHP officers shut down the eastbound lanes in the immediate area for at least two hours while they worked on scene.
 
No other information available at this time. This fatality is still under investigation.
