Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on Friar Street near Belmar Avenue

 
TARZANA, CA (November 22, 2022) — A man died after a hit-and-run crash on Friar Street at around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, November 19.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division, a driver in a Nissan moved westbound on Friar Street. Then they made a left turn onto southbound Belmar Avenue. After that, they hit a male pedestrian in the roadway causing serious injuries.
 
Police said that the driver of the Nissan moved southbound without stopping or trying to help the pedestrian.
 
Officers described the victim as a male in his 30s. Medics rushed him to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
