Pedestrian Dies Fatally Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (June 27, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Avenue I in Lancaster on Saturday evening, June 25.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:40 p.m. near 7th Street East. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station, the male pedestrian was crossing Avenue I, outside of a crosswalk when a vehicle struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene leaving the victim with severe injuries.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Authorities described the involved vehicle as an unknown type Honda or Nissan.
 
The sheriff’s Lancaster station urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 661-948-8466.
