Speeding Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with SUV on Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (January 30, 2023) – A man was killed in a high-speed motorcycle crash on Long Beach Boulevard near Ellis Street on Friday evening.
 
The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on January 27. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a 2014 GMC driven by a Long Beach man was traveling southbound on Long Beach Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot in front of the motorcyclist.
 
The motorcyclist was speeding at that time and collided with the GMC. The impact ejected him from his 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle. He sustained significant injuries to his lower body and died at the scene.
 
Police said they do not believe the GMC driver was distracted or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
