TULARE COUNTY, CA (December 14, 2023) — A man died in a head-on accident on Road 92 near Avenue 260.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly head-on collision happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, a 43-year-old man driving a northbound 2005 Chevrolet Colorado navigated out of his lane at a curve in the road. Subsequently, his Chevrolet entered the path of a southbound 2019 Kia Optima, leading both vehicles to collide head-on.
 
Following the collision, emergency personnel rushed the 43-year-old Chevrolet driver to a hospital, where he passed away. Officials have yet to release his name. The Kia driver, however, suffered minor injuries and sought care at a nearby hospital.
 
At the time of the report, traffic investigators did not confirm the leading cause of the accident. However, an investigation into these details should reveal more information.
