Man Killed, Duglus Rodas-Reyes Arrested in Hit-and-Run on Giant Road [San Pablo, CA]

Police Arrest Duglus Rodas-Reyes for Felony Hit-and-Run after Fatally Striking Pedestrian in San Pablo

 
SAN PABLO, CA (January 9, 2022) – A man died and police arrested Duglus Rodas-Reyes after a hit-and-run crash in San Pablo, late Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:12 p.m. on January 7 on Giant Road at John Avenue. According to the San Pablo Police Department, the 21-year-old victim was walking in the area when a silver 2005 Dodge Magnum struck him.
 
When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. Paramedics attempted saving the man, but he died at the scene.
 
Rodas-Reyes, a 30-year-old Richmond resident, was the one driving the involved vehicle. He fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
At 6:00 a.m. Saturday, officers located the vehicle in the 500 block of Enterprise Avenue in Richmond with the assistance of Richmond police officers. At 7:30 a.m., police arrested Duglus Rodas-Reyes as he attempted to leave the area in the vehicle.
