Fatal Car Accident on Rancho Conejo Boulevard in Newburry Park

 
NEWBURRY PARK, CA (March 21, 2021) – A man died in a car accident on Rancho Conejo Boulevard in Newburry Park Saturday night, March 20.
 
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near Conejo Spectrum Street. The crossing is in a mostly industrial area adjacent to open space.
 
Deputies arrived on scene to find the man lying on the ground near the wrecked vehicle. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The victim’s identity had not been released Sunday pending notification of family.
 
Authorities said speed may have been a factor. Investigators with the Thousand Oaks traffic unit continued to look into the accident Sunday.
