Big Rig Accident on 210 Freeway in Fontana Kills 1 and Seriously Injures 2

 
FONTANA, CA (May 6, 2021) – A man was killed in a big rig accident on 210 Freeway in Fontana early Wednesday morning, May 5.
 
The accident happened around 2:35 a.m. near Citrus Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig had rolled over on the freeway for unknown reasons. A passing motorist stopped and tried to help the driver out of his truck.
 
As the good Samaritan was helping to extricate the driver, a Tesla slammed into both him and the big rig.
 
As a result, the driver of the Tesla died at the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 35-year-old man from Running Springs.
 
Meanwhile, the truck driver, a 50-year-old man, and the good Samaritan, a 30-year-old man, both from San Bernardino, suffered major injuries. Paramedics transported both to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
