Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Exposition Boulevard in Culver City

 
CULVER CITY, CA (May 6, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a train accident at Exposition Boulevard and Bagley Avenue.
 
42-year-old Luis Yac Yax of Los Angeles died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Metro E Line train struck Yax in the area of Culver City just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6.
 
Yax suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Officials stopped the train service between the Culver City Station and Palms Station after the accident. Bus shuttles were called in to serve the stations.
 
An investigation into the accident is underway.
