69-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies after Crash with Vehicle on North Tantau Avenue in Cupertino
CUPERTINO, CA (February 9, 2023) – An elderly man was killed in a bicycle accident on North Tantau Avenue in Cupertino Tuesday morning on February 7.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. just south of 280 Freeway. According to the CHP, the 69-year-old victim was riding his bicycle along the 10000 block of North Tantau Avenue when he collided with a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
The impact caused the man fatal injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
