Bicyclist Dies after Colliding with Semi Truck at Jensen and De Wolf Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 12, 2022) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident at Jensen Avenue and De Wolf Avenue early Monday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on July 11. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi truck was traveling east on Jensen near DeWolf. At the same time, the 33-year-old victim from Sanger was riding his bicycle.
For unknown reasons, the bike veered to the left directly into the path of the approaching semi truck. The front of the semi truck hit the rear of the bicycle.
As a result of the crash, the bicyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the semi truck remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
