CARSON, CA (October 16, 2023) — A man’s death in a bicycle accident on the 405 Freeway at the Wilmington Avenue off-ramp has police investigating the details.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly bicycle crash happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a man riding a bike on the right shoulder of the southbound freeway traveled into the slow lane. Subsequently, a 2014 Volvo driver, who was unable to avoid the imminent crash, struck the bicyclist.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene, but the bicyclist passed away.
