BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 1, 2023) — A man was injured in a scooter crash at Highway 178 and Canteria Drive.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police, the scooter crash happened Wednesday night. For an unknown reason, a man riding a Bird scooter entered Highway 178 East from Canteria Drive, pulling in front of a vehicle. Subsequently, the driver struck the scooter.
 
Shortly after, Bakersfield police and paramedics responded to find the scooter rider with critical injuries and immediately took the patient to a hospital.
