Electric Scooter Rider Suffers Broken Leg after Hit by Vehicle on Euclid Avenue in Webster

 
WEBSTER, CA (December 29, 2022) – A 54-year-old man was injured in a scooter accident on Euclid Avenue in Webster Monday afternoon on December 26.
 
The accident happened just before 5:00 p.m. in the 1800 block of Euclid Avenue at Elm Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 49-year-old man was driving southbound on Euclid Avenue. At the same time, the victim was riding an electric scooter eastbound on Elm Street.
 
The man on scooter entered the intersection against a red signal, and the driver struck him. The impact caused the scooter rider a femur fracture.
 
Responding paramedics took the scooter rider to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
DUI was not suspected for either party, authorities said. Further investigation is underway.
