Christmas Eve Plane Crash at Livermore Municipal Airport Leaves Pilot Injured

 
LIVERMORE, CA (December 28, 2022) – A pilot was injured in a small plane crash near Livermore Municipal Airport on Christmas Eve.
 
Around 5:00 p.m., the Livermore Fire Department crews responded to the scene to a storage building just east of Isabel Avenue, where the plane crashed. The airport is located at 680 Terminal Circle, right off Highway 580.
 
The pilot suffered injuries, but their condition is unknown at this time. Emergency crews had to extract the pilot from the plane.
 
At this time, it is unknown how the plane crashed. An investigation is underway.
 
Fire officials said the plane struck the storage facility, causing severe damage to the aircraft. However, no damage was done to the structure.
