Man Suffered Injuries after Pedestrian Crash on North Broadway and El Camino Street

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (October 25, 2022) — A man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on North Broadway on Sunday, October 23.
 
According to the Santa Maria Police Department, just after 8:00 p.m. emergency personnel rushed to the intersection of North Broadway and El Camino Street. They then discovered a man hit by a vehicle that moved north on Broadway.
 
Lt. Paul Van Meel said the man walked on the sidewalk before he tried to cross Broadway. He added that the pedestrian is in critical condition and his identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers.
 
Officials have not yet determined if alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision.
