SANTA MONICA, CA (October 2, 2023) — A man was injured in a pedestrian accident at Marguerita Avenue and Ocean Avenue.
 
According to Santa Monica police, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:34 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a northbound driver in a 2018 Toyota SUV struck a pedestrian crossing westbound on Ocean Avenue.
 
The pedestrian suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. Shortly after, paramedics responded and took the victim to a hospital for treatment.
 
As for the driver, he or she stayed and cooperated with police investigators. Authorities did not say the factors leading to the crash. However, an investigation into the details should confirm the events.
