Man Hospitalized in Berkeley Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Telegraph Road

 
BERKELEY, CA (June 18, 2021) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Telegraph Road near Ashby Avenue Monday night.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened around 9:36 p.m. when the 50-year-old man began having a mental health crisis. Meanwhile, a vehicle described as a dark-colored mid-90s possibly a Nissan Altima ran over the man as he was lying on the road.
 
Soon after, the driver of the vehicle left the scene, leaving the man with severe injuries. As a result of his injuries, emergency personnel responded and transported him to a hospital with multiple injuries.
