17-Year-Old Boy Dead in Ramona Two-Car Crash on Arena Drive

 
RAMONA, CA (June 18, 2021) — A 17-year-old boy died in a two-car accident on Arena Drive at Arena Way Sunday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. For unexplained reasons, a Honda Civic, driven by a 55-year-old woman heading northbound on Arena Drive, crashed into the eastbound Ford F-150. Due to the impact, the Ford truck overturned and ejected the teen from the cabin.
 
Tragically, the unidentified 17-year-old died at the scene; his name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the woman driving the Honda, who suffered minor injuries, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
At this time, the liabilities and whether impairment played a role require further investigation. However, if witnesses would like to help the CHP with this accident, please contact the department.
