Rider Hospitalized in Sherman Heights Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on Imperial Avenue
SHERMAN HEIGHTS, CA (September 3, 2024) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Imperial Avenue near 24th Street.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the hit-and-run happened around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver exiting a driveway struck the 36-year-old male motorcyclist near eastbound Imperial Avenue. Subsequently, the motorist left the 2400 block of Imperial Avenue without rendering aid.
Minutes later, paramedics responded and took the injured man to a hospital for treatment of a dislocated femur and several open fractures to his tibia and fibula. Reports deemed his injuries non-life threatening.
