Bicyclist Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at Crosby Herold Road in Placer County

 
PLACER COUNTY, CA (February 2, 2024) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run bicycle accident at Crosby Herold Road and Wise Road Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol Valley division, the bicycle crash happened around 1:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, the eastbound bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on Wise Road. As a result, the cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and required medical care.
 
Shortly thereafter, paramedics arrived and took the victim to a hospital for immediate assistance. As for the driver, he or she left the scene following the accident. However, traffic investigators recovered the right-view mirror of the silver sedan that possibly struck the victim.
