Child Among Injured, Teen Arrested in Stolen Car, Police Pursuit Crash near 4th Street in Los Angeles

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (February 2, 2024) — Four people, including a toddler, were injured in a police chase accident near 4th Street and Arizona Avenue.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the multi-car accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Due to an auto theft, police began pursuing a 17-year-old in a stolen Kia Soul. Subsequently, the Kia drove about a quarter mile before crashing into a law enforcement vehicle and several cars at the 4th Street and Arizona Avenue intersection.
 
As a result of the collision, the toddler and two adults who suffered critical injuries needed medical care. The 17-year-old in the stolen Kia also needed hospital transportation.
