Driver Exits Car after Crash and Struck by Several Vehicles on 405 Freeway in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (August 29, 2023) – A man was hit and killed by several vehicles on 405 Freeway in Long Beach early Monday morning on August 28.
 
Around 12:05 a.m., a black sedan and a white sedan collided along the southbound freeway, just north of Pacific Avenue. The impact of the initial crash caused a chain reaction.
 
The male driver of one of the vehicles exited his car when he was struck by several vehicles on the freeway.
 
First responders found the man’s body on the northbound side and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The Long Beach Police Department is still investigating the fatality.
