Man Killed in City Heights Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway

 
CITY HEIGHTS, CA (November 16, 2021) — A man died in a pedestrian crash on the 15 Freeway near University Avenue, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 4:27 a.m. For unknown reasons, a male pedestrian tried running into traffic from the center median of the northbound freeway.
 
Subsequently, an oncoming driver struck the man.
 
Shortly after, First Responders arrived and took the victim to a hospital where he died, despite having received life-saving efforts. Meanwhile, the driver of the white Tesla involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
 
At this time, the victim’s identity and the cause of the crash have not been confirmed. However, detectives have ruled out impairment on the driver’s part.
