LANCASTER, CA (August 7, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Lancaster Boulevard near Valley Central Way.
 
According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 4:02 p.m. Saturday.
 
Under unconfirmed circumstances, a woman struck a man before speeding away. A news videographer said the woman stopped her car to allow who she thought was a homeless man to cross the street. However, the homeless man reportedly hit her vehicle, grabbed her door handle and tried to enter her car. Subsequently, the woman sped away and struck the pedestrian.
