BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 28, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident at Hughes Lane and Wilson Road Tuesday night.
 
According to Bakersfield Police, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 7:39 p.m. For an unknown reason, a driver struck a man in the 2400 block of Hughes Lane. As a result, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and was found by arriving authorities soon after the crash.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he passed away. Officials will release his name once they notify family members.
