Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on Highway 20 in Nice

 
NICE, CA (January 21, 2022) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on eastbound Highway 20 on January 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Hutchins Road around 10:35 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 29-year-old Lucerne man was driving a 2015 Chrysler on the highway at an unknown speed. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the man.
 
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Officials identified him as a 58-year-old Santa Rosa resident.
 
Police did not suspect intoxication as a factor in the collision. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
