Pedestrian Killed in Long Beach Accident on Carson Street
LONG BEACH, CA (June 17, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Carson Street near Gundry Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 10:38 p.m. on June 14. Under unclear circumstances, an eastbound driver struck a male adult pedestrian crossing Carson Street outside a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, police responded to investigate the crash while the driver stayed and cooperated with their investigation.
Tragically, the victim died from his injuries. The Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner has yet to identify him.
At this time, authorities do not suspect alcohol, speed or distracted driving to have influenced this crash. However, they will look into the accident.
