Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 99 Motorcycle Crash

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 22, 2023) — A man died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 near Wilson Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 4:37 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a man, believed to be in his early twenties, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. Officers believe that upon impact, he was ejected onto the road, where several vehicles ran over him.
 
Upon responding, police and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Authorities closed the highway, reducing it to one lane before fully reopening it around 8:00 a.m.
