Man Killed in 2-Car Crash on Manning Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (April 20, 2023) — A man died in a 2-car accident on Manning Avenue and Calaveras Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a driver of a service truck heading northbound on James Road ran a stop sign. The vehicle subsequently collided with a westbound Ford pickup truck, occupied by two people.
 
Due to the impact, the pickup truck careered into a field nearby.
 
A male passenger in his mid-40s died in the collision. Officials have yet to release his name, however.
 
Following the crash, paramedics took the pickup truck driver to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
As for the driver of the service truck, he reported no injuries. Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a factor in this crash, but an ongoing investigation should confirm the details.
