Man Killed in Fresno Accident on Highway 99

 
FRESNO, CA (October 27, 2021) — One man died in a multi-car crash on Highway 99 near Highway 180 early Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened around 4:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 30-year-old man operating a Jaguar SUV southbound at an undetermined speed veered to the right.
 
Subsequently, the Jaguar drove onto the right shoulder and overturned, causing the driver to be ejected from the car before landing on the freeway. Soon after, two passing vehicles struck the victim.
 
Following the accident, paramedics responded and confirmed that the man had died.
 
At this time, authorities have no information as to what led to the accident, including if drugs or alcohol played a role. However, anyone with additional insight into this crash should contact the CHP.
