William Aslaksen Detained after Striking, Injuring Mask Mandate Protester at 10th Street and Rancho Vista Boulevard

 
PALMDALE, CA (October 27, 2021)William Aslaksen faces charges after hitting a mask mandate protester at 10th Street and Rancho Vista Boulevard Saturday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Following an altercation, 64-year-old Aslaksen drove his black Jeep Wrangler into the crowd of protesters and struck a woman.
 
As a result, paramedics responded and brought the woman to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Nearly 90 minutes later, Palmdale police arrested Aslaksen and booked him into the Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station on suspicion of felony assault.
 
At this time, the case requires more investigation. Therefore, anyone with more information should call the police.
